Women's Tennis Advances to Two Consolation Finals at C.L. Memorial Invitational
Sharks conclude Day Two at C.L. Memorial Invitational
Winter Park, Fla. (Oct. 10, 2009) - Nova Southeastern University's women's tennis team continued play at the C.L. Memorial Invitational on Saturday on what was another hot day for the tournament held at Rollins. Karolina Porizkova (Sr., Prostejov, Czech Republic) will play on Sunday for the Flight "A" singles consolation title. Meanwhile, Porizkova and partner Justine Feaster (So. Escondido, Calif.) will play in the doubles consolation finals on Sunday. In the Flight "A" singles semfinals, Porizkova defeated Veronika Kovacikova of Florida Southern 6-3, 6-2. She will face Rollins' Stefaniya Tkach in the finals.
Feaster and Porizkova reeled off two wins in doubles consolation play on Saturday. Feaster and Porizkova begun the day with a 8-2 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic's Natalie Aleman and Lina Rubiano. In the semifinals, Feaster and Porizkova topped Hillsborough Community College's Nachell Proctor and Courtney Spafford 8-4. Feaster and Porizkova will face Florida Tech's Monica Price and Alexis Weinnig in Sunday's finals.
