Kim was promoted to Manager of Marketing and Special Events in May of 2007. She manages and implements marketing and sponsorship strategies for the Department of Athletics, as well as overseeing all booster club and fundraising activities. She also plans and organizes logistics for all Department of Athletics special events. Since 2005, she had served as Coordinator of Marketing and Special Events. Kim came to NSU in 2004 as a Sports Information Assistant.
Carbo has extensive marketing and public relations experience having worked for the Miami Fusion, Columbus Crew and NY/NJ MetroStars of Major League Soccer and the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League. In addition, she worked for the Ohio High School Athletic Association in their Sports Information Department.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from The Ohio State University, and was also a member of the varsity women's soccer team at OSU.
She earned her master's degree in sports management in 2006 from NSU.
Carbo is a Coral Springs, Florida native and graduated from J.P. Taravella High School, where she also recieved honors for her four years of varsity soccer.
