Jeff Kelley is entering his fourth year as Sports Information Coordinator. He joined the Athletics Staff in July 2006. Kelley coordinates the publicity for NSU's 16 varsity teams and currently serves as the primary media contact for the Sharks' Women's Volleyball, Men's Basketball, Baseball, Men's and Women's Golf programs. Kelley can also be heard on the NSU Athletics Audiocast Network, serving as play-by-play and color commentator on select volleyball, basketball, and baseball audiocasts. Kelley also coordinates Shark Alert, the department's weekly newsletter. In 2007 with NSU, Kelley was honored by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors Of America) for two publications, recieving Third in the Nation honors for the Sharks' Men's Golf Media Guide and Best Cover honors for the Sharks' Women's Tennis Media Guide.
He recieved three more publication awards in 2008, including Best in the Nation honors for his work on the men's and women's golf media guide and women's tennis media guide cover. The women's tennis media guide was selected as the third best in the nation.
Kelley came to Nova Southeastern from Saint Leo University, where he served as Assistant Sports Information Director in 2005-2006 under 2005 Sunshine State Conference Hall of Fame inductee Walt Riddle. While at Saint Leo, he acted as the primary contact for many of the university's 16 athletic programs and served on the Hall of Fame Committee. He spent four years at Saint Leo as a Sports Information Assistant while attending school.
Among Kelley's many accomplishments at Saint Leo were the implementation of internet broadcasts of the school's athletic events and helping to direct the 2006 Sunshine State Conference men's and women's basketball and tennis tournaments, as well as the 2005 NCAA South Region Soccer Tournament, hosted by Saint Leo University.
Kelley is now serving his third year as the CoSIDA District III Academic All-America coordinator.
A native of Liverpool, NY, Kelley has extensive experience in writing, statistics,along with game and tournament management.
