Shurell Burton enters her first year as a member of the NSU athletic staff as the Game Operations Graduate Assistant. A former NSU women's soccer player, Burton is no stranger to Nova Southeastern athletics. She first came to NSU as a freshman in 2005, where she lead the Sharks in goals and was named SSC Offensive Player of the week and SSC Commissioner's List of Outstanding Achievement.
Throughout her player career, she has been a dominating force for the Sharks on the pitch. She is a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection, two-time NSCAA All-Region selection, and an NSCAA All-American. She holds NSU records in goals scored, assists and game-winning goals.
A 2009 graduate of Nova Southeastern University, Burton will be pursuing a Master's Degree in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at NSU.
