An NSU Alumni, earning his Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Communications in 2008, Sammy Garcia, Jr., enters his first year as the Graduate Assistant for Compliance and Academic Services. He returns to the athletic department after spending one year at the University of London where he earned a Master's degree in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. In London, England, Sammy worked with theatre and sports professionals learning the distinct policies and methods to fuse the cultures of the arts and sports towards social awareness and pro-activity.
Garcia will be assisting in the daily duties of compliance and athletic academic services within the Sharks athletic department, while pursuing a second master's degree at Nova Southeastern University.
