Ryan  Romero, Equipment Manager Ryan Romero is entering his fifth season as an Assistant Baseball Coach for NSU. In-depth knowledge in the areas of hitting, defense and baserunning are among the many assets that Ryan brings to the NSU baseball program.

He was part of a coaching staff that was instrumental in leading the Knights to a #26 ranking in the final national poll with a 30-15 mark during the school's first year in NCAA Division II competition. NSU also finished the 2003 season ranked 5th in the final South Region poll.

NSU was red hot over the second half of the season winning 21 out of their last 26 games overall and closing out the year with a seven-game winning streak.

Ryan brings proven leadership, successful playing experience, a passion for the game of baseball and a genuine interest in developing successful student-athletes for the Knights.

He joined the Nova Southeastern baseball coaching staff in 2000, after gathering extensive experience in South Florida as both a player and coach. Ryan was a standout at Chaminade-Madonna Preparatory School as a three-year letterman, being selected twice to the all-county team. He also received the Leadership Award on his prep team as a senior in 1993.

Ryan attended Palm Beach Atlantic College where he played two years of baseball and received a bachelor's degree in wellness and exercise science.

He has coached at numerous camps and clinics, including an assistant coaching position for Team O.N.E. Sports Camp in Hollywood, FL, While coaching at Chaminade-Madonna, he accumulated a record of 19-9.

His goal for the NSU program is to assist his players in realizing their full potential while promoting dedication, discipline, and determination.

Ryan resides in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
