NSU Athletics Summer Camps

The Nova Southeastern University Department of Athletics is pleased to offer a variety of summer sports camps for children of all ages to participate during the year. Following is a brief description of summer camp options as well as a printable brochure and registration forms that can be filled out and mailed in to secure a spot for your child.

NSU Baseball Camps

NSU Baseball holds camps periodically throughout the year. Sharks Head Coach Michael Mominey and Assistant Coaches Ray Romero, Ryan Romero and Skip Wiley will focus on advanced instruction in the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, throwing and individual defense.

NSU Cheerleading Camps

NSU Cheer Camp will include instruction in jumps, partner stunts, pyramids, dance and cheers. Our energetic cheer basics will get you, or your whole team, pumped up and ready for the upcoming season.

NSU Men's Basketball Camps

The NSU Junior Sharks Basketball Camp is dedicated to providing a fun, enthusiastic atmosphere for young boys and girls (ages 6 to 17) interested in learning more about the game. We welcome campers of all ability levels. We are committed to teaching skills to young players while helping to refine and advance the skills of older players. Our goal is to give each camper an opportunity to learn and develop both basketball skills and life skills that will serve them well as they go forward on and off the playing floor.

NSU Men's Soccer Camp

The NSU Men's summer soccer camp is open to both boys and girls, and focuses on advanced instruction in all technical and tactical fundamentals of soccer, including passing and receiving, defending, attacking and shooting. The NSU coaching staff including NSU Head Coach Giuseppe DePalo and Assistant Head Coach Matt Parry will work with all of the campers in these areas of instruction.

NSU Rowing Camp

The NSU Sharks Rowing Camp provides all athletes, from the inexperienced novice to the advanced rower, with the personal attention that will allow them to grow and develop, even if this is the first time every trying the sport.

NSU Softball Camps

The NSU Softball Camp focuses on beginning to advanced instruction in all technical and tactical fundamentals of softball. The NSU coaching staff including Sharks Head Coach Lesa Bonee and Assistant Coach Robin Martin, who will each work with all of the campers.

NSU Volleyball Camps

The NSU summer volleyball camp focuses on beginning to advanced instruction in all technical and tactical fundamentals of volleyball, including passing, attacking and defense. The NSU coaching staff including NSU Head Coach Steve Wilcosky and Assistant Coach Michelle Piantadosi will work with all of the campers in these areas of instruction.

Women's Basketball Camps

The Nova Southeastern University Women's Basketball program will hold both individual and team camps this summer.

High School Varsity, JV, AAU/Club teams and Middle School teams are welcomed to attend either or both of NSU's basketball team camps. The team camp is designed to prepare student-athletes for the upcoming summer events they will be participating in as well as the new school year.

For girls ages 6-18, the individual camp focuses on teaching the basic fundamentals of the game of basketball to improve the overall skill level of each camper. Campers will participate in daily fundamental stations and drills each morning that target the important aspects of basketball such as passing, catching, shooting, dribbling and defensive concepts. The camp is designed for the player who wants to improve their game.

NSU Women's Soccer Camp

The NSU Women's program will hold the Nova Select Soccer Camp this summer on the main campus of Nova Southeastern University. The Nova Select Soccer Camp will take place on the new NSU Soccer Complex fields, located off College Avenue and Mary McCahill Drive.

Players will be grouped based on ages and skill levels and will be instructed in the technical and tactical aspects of soccer.
