Robin Martin

Assistant Softball Coach

Robin Martin Robin Martin begins her second season as Nova Southeastern Universitys softball assistant coach. She primarily works with the Sharks pitchers, catchers and defense.

In 2008, NSUs pitching staff posted a 1.82 ERA, which ranked 23rd in the nation. The Sharks allowed just 109 earned runs and opponents hit just .213. Meanwhile, freshman Lexi Sarradet posted a 20-6 win-loss record, becoming just the fourth pitcher in program history to reach the 20-win plateau and the first since 1999. Sarradet went on to earn Daktronics, Inc. All-Region honors, which was the first time a pitcher earned All-Region honors in program history.

Martin had a distinguished four-year career at Auburn where she appeared in 135 games. After her fourth and final year of eligibility, she stayed on as a Student-Assistant Coach for the Tigers. During her collegiate playing career, Martin helped Auburn to three NCAA Tournament appearances while the Tigers were also ranked in the Top-25, including a No. 12 ranking. During her senior season, Martin helped Auburn to the Regional Championship where they lost to eventual National Champion Arizona.

Martin also excelled in the classroom, earning Auburn Top Tiger Award honors from 2004 to 2007 while being named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, she was also named an NSCA Strength and Conditioning All-American and the Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year.

Prior to joining NSU, Martin was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for Jensen Beach High School softball as well as the Assistant Varsity and Junior Varsity softball coach. She was also the Head Coach of the Treasure Coast Splash 16 and under travel softball team in 2007.

Martin graduated cum laude from Auburn in 2007 with a degree in journalism.
