Men's Cross Country's Matt Meagher Garners SSC Runner of the Week Accolades
Matt Meagher receives first SSC honor of the season
Orlando, Fla. (Sept. 14, 2009) - Nova Southeastern University men's cross country's Matt Meagher (Sr., Mansfield, Mass.) was selected at the Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week, it was announced by the conference office on Monday. It is the second-straight week in which a NSU runner earned SSC Runner of the Week accolades. Last week, Brendan Chwalek (Fr., Sellersburg, Ind.) earned the honor.
Meagher led the Sharks to their second-straight team title. At the UCF Black & Gold Invitational, Meagher covered the 8K course in a race-winning time of 27:18.
NSU returns to action on Friday when the Sharks race at the Mountain Dew Invitational in Gainesville. The women's race is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., while the men's race is set for 7:00 p.m.
