The Shark Challenge is a department wide game that is played by all teams, and effectively encompasses the five CHAMPS/Life Skills commitment areas. Teams can earn points in the Shark Challenge by attending the required CHAMPS/Life Skills Programs. The purpose of the SHARK Challenge is to help NSU student-athletes personally enhance their five commitment areas while having fun in a positive, competitive environment.
Requirements
Points can be earned in the following categories: Scholarly Success, Athletic Enhancement, Professional Development, Community Outreach, Personal Enhancement, Athletes Supporting Athletes, and Above and Beyond.
Programs
A list of programs for the academic year will be provided at the start of each semester. This list will be available on the Academic Services website and will be updated throughout the year. In addition, student-athletes and coaches will be notified of additions to the programming calendar.
Submitting Points
The CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator will keep track of attendance and points for each student-athlete. Points can be submitted by completing the SHARK Challenge Points Sheet form below.
